Aristotle - Philosophy and Ethics
Science
Metaphysics
Aristotle defines metaphysics as the knowledge of immaterial being or of being in the highest degree of abstraction. He calls metaphysics the first philosophy and the theologic science.
The term metaphyisics was created after Aristotle's death and means behind the physics. Aristotle's metaphysics contain for example examinations of the concept of substance and essence and thoughts of universals and particulars, in which he disagreed with his teacher Plato.
