Ethics
Ethics as a subject of philosophy begins with the works of Aristotle.
In its original form, ethics is concerned with the question of virtue of character and eudaimonia which means well-being or happiness. Ethics is a systematic study of how individuals should best live and it was originally coupled with the study of politics, especially law making.
Aristotle and Socrates answered the question of how best to live with the life of philosophy.
