Plato
Plato (428 BC - 348 BC) was a Greek philosopher, mathematician, writer and founder of the Academy in Athens, which has been the first institution of higher learning in the Western world.
Plato was a student of Socrates and the teacher of Aristotle. Plato wrote many dialogues and letters in which he published his thinking. The topics included philosophy, logic, ethics, rhetoric and mathematics.
